China International Investment Promotion Agency in Germany Inaugurated Successfully
The China International Investment Promotion Agency in Germany was inaugurated in the German capital of Berlin on October 10, by Both Chinese Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng and Vice-Premier and Minister of Economic Affairs and Technology of Germany Sigmar Gabriel. The inauguration of the bilateral investment promotion platform, which has drawn the attention of the leaders of the two countries, means that China’s national-level investment promotion platform was officially put into operation in Germany.
The establishment of the China International Investment Promotion Agency in Germany is one of the important measures taken by China’s Investment Promotion Bureau to put into practice the consensus of “promoting the establishment of an investment promotion organization in Germany” reached by the leaders of the two countries. At present, efforts have been made with commercial departments, development zones and parks in six provinces and cities such as Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Tianjin, Shandong, Hebei and Jiangsu to jointly carry out targeted investment promotion. The agency will “keep a foothold in Germany, face Europe and serve China as a whole,” actively play the roles of a platform and a window and provide information and channels for Chinese and German enterprises to expand bilateral resources and carry out investment cooperation.
